This breed was developed by Dr. Truda Straede in New South Wales, Australia, commencing in 1976, as a cat with a spotted coat and Burmese type cat that will meet the characteristics of the indoor-oriented and love, a goal achieved by inter-breeding with Burmese, Abyssinian and Australian domestic cat.
Australian Mist’s Health
The Australian Mist Cat is a balanced cat of moderate foreign type, with no tendency to extremes in one of its characteristics. Mature muscle development, along with the desired hair texture and eye color, is usually not achieved until the cat is two years. Australian Mist different patterns and key features of the breed. Merger, random yet gentle, look and be the main color marble patterns it causes “foggy” effect. The resulting color in this wonderful breed – brown, blue, brown, violet, cinnamon (called ‘gold’ in Australia) and deer (‘peach’ in Australia). Overall color should be rich and warm, paler under-parts of the body and a darker reddish tones on the nose, cheeks and ears, even in pale colors. Eyes described as large and lustrous, giving the appearance of a soft, smooth and green in the shade of chartreuse to aquamarine.

The Australian Mist was breed specifically to provide a loving temperament, and this makes the idea of a family pet cats because they are very tolerant of handling by young children and do not tend to scratch to get the point across. They are a perfect pets for child of all ages. They are very happy to live indoors, and thrive on human contact, always wanted to be part of whatever happens – they love to sit on his lap and would enjoy being cuddled. This breed requires firm and will be lonely if left alone for a long time, but they are very friendly and happy to live with another cat or breed of dog known as a tolerant cat. A very good temperament is a fundamental part of Australia as the Mist is a mist coat pattern.
Australian Mist Cat Appearance
The Mist Australia is not known to have any kind of specific health problems and although it is still early days for this species, many of which lived to the age of 15 years or even a little longer. They need an annual booster vaccination against common cat diseases from flu and intestinal inflammation, as well as against Feline Leukemia if they get out of the room.
Australian Mist care
This breed will eat the best quality brand of cat food belongs, but also will enjoy the treats cooked, chicken, ham and grated cheese. However, cow’s milk may be giving them stomach aches, and a bowl of water should always be available. Eyes and ears should be checked and kept clean and if necessary using a clean damp cloth.

Most Australian Mist cat spread in Australia, however there are a few in United Kingdom and some cats have been introduced to America and other countries.
